This autumn at UNESCO in Paris the International Hydropower Association held a meeting entitled ‘Improving decision-making for hydropower’.
FutureDAMS Research Director Julien Harou was an invited speaker and gave the following 10 minute presentation on the systems-scale hydropower planning approach proposed by FutureDAMS.
The IHA event was followed by the first FutureDAMS international working group meeting, also held at UNESCO, where research project staff interacted with policy-makers from more than 10 international organisations that consider hydropower, river basin planning and/or energy system planning policy-making to be within their remit.
